Our Intensive Outpatient Program (IOP) is for adults, age 18 and older, who do not require the 24 hour supervision provided by an inpatient program. Hickory Trail Hospital’s IOP is for the patient who has achieved some stability, but could benefit from more intensive treatment.
Groups are offered Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m.
Patients are in treatment for three hours per day, five days a week. Program length is individualized, though patients typically spend four to six weeks in IOP.
Our diagnostic and treatment components include:
The treatment team consists of the patient, family members, the physician, the therapist a social worker, nurses, and mental health professionals. Anyone on the treatment team can address questions regarding a patient’s treatment plan. The therapist develops an individualized treatment plan to address the patient’s unique needs and consults with the assigned physician to ensure proper diagnosis and treatment. Patients receive a variety of therapy services, along with provision of thorough aftercare planning.
Our goal is to provide individualized care to guide patients toward significantly improving overall wellness, including the ability to effectively manage a variety of mood disorders and life stressors.
