Chemical Dependency Program

The Chemical Dependency Program at Hickory Trail Hospital includes advanced medication management, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy and a 12-step model. We provide the optimal environment in which to recover from alcohol abuse, opiate addiction and other dependencies to achieve ongoing sobriety.

Our Focus

The focus of the chemical dependency program is the safe detox of individuals and initial relapse prevention to encourage long term recovery. Our diagnostic and treatment components include:

  • Inpatient detoxification/withdrawal stabilization
  • Physical examination and laboratory data
  • Medications when indicated
  • Daily face to face meeting with psychiatric medical staff
  • Social support
  • AA and NA groups
  • Life skills
  • Seeking Safety skills
  • Psychoeducational classes
  • Recreational therapy groups including; sports, yoga, pet, music, art & horticulture
  • Individual and Family therapy, as indicated
  • Discharge Planning
  • Partial Hospitalization Program
  • Intensive Outpatient Program
  • Family Support
