Chemical Dependency

We are proud to announce that our Chemical Dependency Programming now includes an exclusive Virtual Reality program enhancing learning and success for our patients.  Our program is custom designed to treat our patients form a biopsychosocial perspective, allowing us to utilize a variety of evidence-based therapeutic tools from the traditional to the modern.

Virtual Reality (VR) treatment involves exposing a patient to a virtual environment providing the opportunity to test the skills learned during treatment in a safe way.  As with any therapeutic modality or tool, the therapist guides the sessions and integrates it into the treatment path for each patient.  Read more about our CD Programs.

The Chemical Dependency Program at Hickory Trail Hospital includes advanced medication management, individual therapy, group therapy, family therapy and a 12-step model. We provide the optimal environment in which to recover from alcohol abuse, opiate addiction and other dependencies to achieve ongoing sobriety.
